This book is a historical fiction based on the scandal surrounding the Tennessee children's home society in Memphis and methods of child trafficking used by Georgia Tann in the name of modern day adoption.
The captivating love between sisters torn apart without their will and being reunited is a prominent narrative, but the portrayal of the story; being surrounded by the facts of an infamous part of history is what had me so engrossed.
